GUTSVERWALTUNG NIEDERHAUSER HERMANSBERG, 2004

The earlier mastodon in Nahe had to sell out of many of there best parcels in order to survive while they on the other hand had to fight a tuff game to increase the quality back to old time. They still have parcel on the top fields in Nahe e.g. Kuphergrube, Niederhauser Hermannshöhle, Traiser Bastai and Hermansberg. I think that they with this wine shows that they can still make fine wine (and that they are on the right track back to earlier god quality).

The color of the wine is straw yellow – The nose has a trace oxidized tone of petroleum, licthe and wet wool with peach and apricots underneath in the secondary layer. A really delicious well-develop nose. The wine in the mouth has a dusty citrus fruit impression that is supported by a juicy acidity. In the layer underneath one taste the minerality that is expressed by a pipe tobacco tone. The length is maybe a little too short – but overall a fine wine.
