MÜLLER-CATOIR, HAARDTER BÜRGERGARTEN, „Im Gehren“, PFALZ, SPÄTLESE TROCKEN, 2004

The wine was followed over a week.

The nose has a sweet tone of orange fruit and apricots combined with traces of green peber fruit (that I sometimes gets in Pfalz wine??). Just after open I still think it had a weak trace of yeast – however it disappeared as the wine got air.

The taste is spot-on on the first day (but did not developed and get better over time). In the mouth it has traces of yellow citrus fruit and pomelone. The wines shows sign of small amount of residual sugar. Underneath one feels the sparkling lime stone on the tongue – beautiful!. Also in the aftertaste and in the secondary layer there is tobacco tones, so really in that sense a real complex wine – but not to long aftertaste.

With time the wines becomes more linear and more opulent and to the heavy site.
