WEINGUT KELLER, KIRCHSPIEL TÜRMSTUCK, 2002

This wine comes from the old part around the tower of Kirchspiel – this is the first year for release of Kirchspiel – but they were not allowed to call it Turmstück as it is the case also today with Abtserde (which is part of the big GG parcel – Brünnenhauser) if they want the GG on the bottle.

Light yellow no sign of age in the color of the wine (it has also been stored at the estate since release). Extremely seductive nose – with a lot of nuances that plays a nozzle with my brain. White pepper, wet wool, clear traces of limestone, herbs and tones of peach and mandarin fruit – really nice aging and so seductive development.
In the taste extremely precision and elegance with it Liche fruit, traces of citric acid and really a beautiful dancing juicy acidity. Again the tasted is so perfect developed and gripping. In the secondary and tertiary layer it shows a dusty limestone minerality that complements the juicy acidity to perfection in the long finish. A brilliant and complete wine – I still think it would develop.

In the end I am just so happy to taste these wines while it is still possible
